New items in preparation for future updates
Several new items have been added to the Management Portal in preparation for future updates, which will have limited use to begin with. As functionality is extended, we will keep you updated on how the new features will help you to streamline data management within the system.
Operations | Curriculum - Master list of data
Master lists of Year Levels, Students, Teachers, Rooms and Duty Areas are found in [3] Operations.
Master lists of Faculties and Subjects are found in [4] Curriculum.
School operations master lists allow administrators to manage the Year Levels, Students, Teachers, Rooms and Duty Areas used across the various cloud applications.
For example, changing a student's name in [3B] Students automatically updates the name in Course Manager and Preferences Manager (updating Daily Organiser is coming soon).
Importing data
Data can be imported when first setting up your school or at any time to update existing information.
Initial setup
Use Task [2A] Setup Using Timetable to quickly populate your cloud data.
- Click Setup Using Timetable.
- Browse to and select your timetable data file.
- Import your:
- Year Levels
- Teachers
- Faculties
- Students
- Subjects
- Rooms
- Duty Areas
These items are immediately available in Preferences Manager. Support for additional cloud applications will be added in future updates.
Updating existing data
Each master list includes an Import button that can be used to keep your cloud data up to date.
Importing can be used to update existing records, such as changes to student names, teacher details, subject information or room details, as well as adding new records where required. This avoids the need to manually edit each record individually.
The following import sources are supported:
- CSV/XLSX file template
- Student Options data file
- Timetable Development data file
You can also keep your data synchronised using:
- Task [7A] SIF/LISS Integration
