Customised export files can be produced from the Timetable Development module. The settings can be saved and used later, so they do not have to be created each time an export is needed.
1. Open the timetable you would like to export from
2. On the File menu, click Export Data
3. Then click Customise
4. Click New Setting
5. Enter a name for the setting
6. A message will appear, click OK
7. A green screen is displayed with 7 columns, each representing a different type of export file that can be customised. In each column, all available fields for that file type are listed.
8. Select the required fields by double-clicking on the field names. The fields will be displayed in the order in which they were selected. This will be the order in the export file when it is created.
9. Select the type of delimiter
10. Click Save Setting. This setting will now be displayed in the dropdown menu at the top left corner.
11. Click Export. The file will be created.
Note: It is possible to include empty fields in the exported file after each selected data field. The number after the field name indicates how many null fields will be exported. The default value is set to zero.
To add null fields:
- Click on the relevant (yellow highlighted) data field name
- Click the Null Fields button
- Enter the number of null fields required.
