To allow users to view semester two timetables in Daymap while still in semester one, please complete the following workaround

1. Open Timetabling Solutions V10


- open your semester two timetable and 
- click Publish Timetable
- then click Publish Timetable to Web Daily Organiser

2. On the Published Timetable Group, click Select


3. Click Add and type 'Semester 2 2024'



4. On the Start Date, select the current date
(this is correct, even though your semester two start date is a future date)

5. Click Publish and click OK.


6. Once the timetable has completed publishing (expect this to take approximately 5 minutes), open Daily Organiser on https://do1.timetabling.education


7. In Daily Organiser:

- click New and create a new dataset called: Temp DO Sem 2
(You do not need to import parameters from another file.)

Note:  check that the file is being created in the correct published timetable group, we recommend an easily identifiable name, such as "Semester 2 2024".

8. Once you have created your 'Temp DO Sem 2' Daily Organiser file:

- open the Management Portal
- on the task tree, go to [4] Daily Organiser
- right-click the row with the file and select Mark Published

This controls which Daily Organiser file sends data to Daymap's LISS endpoints



9. On the task tree go to [6] SIF/LISS Integrations


- double-click your Daymap Integration to open it
- click Sync


10. Open Daymap

go to Settings, then Timetable Import
- Click Manual Timetable Import


11. From the drop-down, select your Semester 2 2024

12. Click Import

Note: It is important to re-run your Semester 1 timetable after performing a Semester 2 future import


13. Open Timetabling Solutions Management Portal at 
https://timetabling.education and


- on the task tree, go to [3] Published Timetables

14. In the 'Semester 2 2024' Published Timetable group:

- click your Semester 2 timetable
- right-click and select Delete
then click Yes


15. From the top menu:


- click Recycle Bin
- select your 'Semester 2 2024' timetable
- click Remove
click Close


16. On the task tree go to [4] Daily Organiser


- click on the row that has the Temp DO Sem 2 Daily Organiser file
- right-click and select Delete
click Yes


17. From the top menu:


- click Recycle Bin
- select the Temp DO Sem 2 Daily Organiser file
- click Remove
click Close


18. Select the row with your current semester one Daily Organiser file.


- right-click and select Mark Published.

This will make the file available to endpoints

19. Open Daily Organiser at https://do1.timetabling.education


- click Open
- select your current Daily Organiser file for Semester 1
- select today's date and click Publish Daily Organiser | Sync

You are now able to continue operating in semester 1, publishing daily changes to Daymap, with your users being able to view their semester 2 timetable in Daymap.
