These instructions are for users of Timetabling Solutions V10 who are using the Web Daily Organiser. When you use Web Daily Organiser, you do not need to sync into Sentral as well – all publishing can be handled from within this application.
Before syncing with Sentral, we strongly recommend performing a LISS Pre-Export Compliance Check to ensure your timetable data is in the correct format.
SERVICE ACCOUNT IN SENTRAL
Service accounts are a special type of limited permission account that Sentral offers for integrating systems. The advantage of a service account is that it is not linked to a specific individual in the school, so it does not need to be updated when their password changes or when staff change roles at the school. Service accounts also provide better security, as they cannot be used to log into the Sentral application.
You will need administrator rights in Sentral to create a service account, then complete the following steps:
1. Click on Setup on the top navigation bar
2. Click Manage Service User Accounts
3. Click + New Service Account
4. Enter a Username (e.g. timetable_sync)
5. Enter a First Name (e.g. Timetable)
6. Enter a Surname (e.g. Sync)
7. Select LISS Synchronisation from the Restricted Function drop-down
8. Click Save
After creating the service account, a green box will appear at the top of the page containing the service account password.
You can click Reset Service Password to obtain a new password.
CONFIGURING WEB DAILY ORGANISER
1. Go to https://timetabling.education/
2. Login with your Timetabling Solutions username and password
3. Open the Management Portal
4. On the right-hand side task tree, go to [6] SIF/LISS Integrations
5. From the top of the page, click + Add
6. Configure the integration as per the settings below, then click Save
7. After clicking Save, a new row of buttons should appear (see diagram below). Click the Validate button to confirm the service account details are able to connect.
You should receive an email within a few minutes confirming if the details are correct.
- If you receive the successful validation email, proceed to Step 8.
- If the validation is unsuccessful, double-check that the details you have entered exactly match the instructions above and try again.
8. Ensure the correct checkboxes are selected and click Synchronise.
Note: During peak times, if several schools are syncing at the same time, you may experience delays of up to 20 minutes. However, most syncs are complete within a few minutes.
After a few seconds, you can click View Log and view the progress of each call.
Note: Sentral use the Publish Daily Deltas to save the the logs on their side
