Email Delivery Times:

Sending large numbers of emails from our applications to your school email server can cause delivery delays.

Your school email server has multiple layers of message hygiene in place to protect staff and students from receiving SPAM, phishing, and malicious emails, as well as user-configured filters and rules.

Often, when an email server receives many emails from a single recipient, it quarantines them before releasing them.

To avoid the likelihood of your email server thinking we are a threat, we send emails in batches of ten, then pause for ten seconds before sending the next ten emails.

This can create a queue when multiple schools are sending emails to large numbers. This extends the wait period for all recipients to receive the email during peak times.

Options to consider:
The Bulletin and Teacher Changes are two popular reports that get emailed from the (web) Daily Organiser.

Export the report (Bulletin or Teachers Changes etc) to PDF, open your email client, create a Contact Group, and send the email. *Check your email client for the maximum number of recipients; most allow up to 500 in a single send

Schools that use (web) Daily Organiser have the Staff Access Portal included in their subscription.  This allows their teachers and emergency teachers to access their timetable, class lists, changes, activities and the bulletin online.

The Staff Access Portal is hosted by Timetabling Solutions on Microsoft Azure.

You may also consider purchasing a subscription to Daily Reports, which provides read-only access to the master timetable, all individual timetables, changes, activities, teacher changes and the bulletin.
