While your internet connection and computers available resources can largely affect the speed of Daily Organiser, there are a number of other things that you can do to improve performance.

  • Use Cycle Start Dates
Data is downloaded to your browser based on cycle dates. Using cycle dates limits the amount of data that is downloaded. Click here for more information on Cycle Start Dates

  • Close and reopen your browser periodically
Data is downloaded and processed in your browser, which over time can affect the speed. Periodically closing and reopening your browser can help maintain browser performance.

  • Don’t add calendar activities for longer than a term

Calendar activities longer than a term can slow download speeds.

  • Manage the open tabs in your browser

The more tabs you have open in your browser, the slower your browser may run.

  • Clear the cache in your browser

Cached files remain in your browser which can speed up your browsing experience as the data doesn’t need to be downloaded each time you visit that page. Over time however the cache can get unwieldy, so we recommend clearing your cache on a regular basis. Note, this can also help with data refresh issues, where changes you have made are not reflected on the screen. The process required to clear the cache will vary depending on the browser you are using.

  • Remove any files with date crossovers and any obsolete files from the data store

Removing files with date crossovers and that are obsolete can increase the efficiency of information that is processed and downloaded. Files can be deleted in the Management Portal under [4] Daily Organiser by selecting the files and clicking Files – Delete Selected Items. Note: Only users with Global Administrator or Application Administrator roles can delete files.
