Data can be imported from a variety of sources, including *.tfx, *.sfx, *.xlsx (Excel), *.txt, *.csv, or Wonde (for Students, Teachers, and Rooms).
Clicking Import Data will launch an import wizard that guides you through a mapping process, allowing you to match fields from your data source to corresponding fields in our software.

Troubleshooting
If you receive the error "The program was unable to connect with Excel or CSV";
First, check the file name to ensure that it does not include punctuation such as colons or full stops, as that can also prevent Timetabling Solutions from connecting to the import file.
If the file name is correct, then the AccessDatabaseEngine2010 Redistributable.exe file needs to be installed. You can follow the steps in the knowledge base article here: https://timetabling.elevio.help/en/articles/154
This enables communication and data exchange between files that are proprietary to the Microsoft Office package and other applications.
The Access Engine does not interact with the internet or expose services. It simply enables reading/writing of legacy data formats on the local machine.
Even though the 2010 edition is no longer updated, Microsoft continues to make the installer available because many business applications still rely on it.
