Tagging classes is used when there is a relationship between the allocation of students to classes on two or more lines and is created in the Student Options module of the Timetabling Solutions desktop app.

Students can only be allocated to classes that have been tagged at the same level within a set of tagged classes.

The line headings reflect the relationship between lines, with the next tagged line in the set shown in brackets.

The tag level for each class is denoted with T (for Tag) and a numeric value (often 0 or 1).

Students allocated to a T0 class cannot be allocated to a T1 class on another tagged line in the same set.

Note that students can be allocated to a tagged class on one line and no class on another line in the same set.

The allocations will not save, and students cannot be checked in unless they have been allocated to the correct combinations of tagged classes.
