Error: "you were authenticated successfully but do not have access to this system" Print

Modified on: Mon, 1 Dec, 2025 at 9:40 AM

Two scenarios can produce this message:

Scenario 1. You are trying to log in to one of our apps, but unfortunately, your account hasn't been assigned the right role to access it.

Scenario 2.  You do have the correct role and can sign into https://timetabling.edcuation, but cannot sign into V10.  Your device's clock is out of sync, and you need to perform a resync.  We only allow a 4s variation.

Resolution steps for Scenario 1

This error occurs when a user attempts to log in to one of our apps but does not have an assigned role.

Your email address is in our system, and we can confirm that your password is correct; however, your account has not been granted access rights.

Please ask your Global Administrator or User Administrator to:

  1. Log in to https://timetabling.education.

  2. Go to [1A] Manage Users, select your name, click Roles, and assign the relevant role.

If you are the Global Administrator or User Administrator and are unable to access the site, please create a support ticket.

Resolution steps for Scenario 2

The time on your system clock must be accurate to allow communication between our devices.

If your clock is out by more than 4-5 seconds, you will be unable to sign in using V10.

Resolution
Sync your time with time.windows.com to ensure accuracy.
- Open Settings
- Click on Time & Language
- Click on Date & time
- Set the time automatically to "ON"
- Under “Synchronise your clock,” click the Sync now button
