Summary:
Attempting to open a file returns the message File is in use by another user.

Cause:
The file was opened but not closed correctly, or another user is in the file.

Note: when you open a file, a *.DAT file is created in the same location as the file and will remain present while you have the file open.

When you click 'Close File' on the module home page, the *.DAT file is erased.

When the *.DAT file is present, no other user can open the file.

Resolution:

Step 1.  Browse to the location of the data file you are trying to open.

Step 2.  You should see a *.DAT file which is named [your machine name]---[filename].DAT, and if you are certain that no one is in the file, then delete this *.DAT file and attempt to open your data file again.
