Overview
The Web Preferences Manager (WPM) will be retired on 24 December 2026 and will no longer be available thereafter.
If you are collecting preferences before September 2026, we recommend continuing to use Web Preferences Manager for your current cycle and using the remaining time to become familiar with Preferences Manager.
Many schools are already successfully using Preferences Manager, which provides a more consistent experience across the Timetabling Solutions cloud platform.

Saving Historical Data from Web Preferences Manager
Historical data from Web Preferences Manager cannot be migrated to Preferences Manager. If you wish to retain historical information, it must be exported before Web Preferences Manager is retired.
Export Student Data
- Open the Student Group.
- Select Manage Data.
- Export:
- Zipped V9 File
- XLSX File
Save Student Receipts
- Open Reports.
- Select Submitted Student Receipts.
- Save the report as a PDF.
Assigning Additional Managers
All users who need to administer Preferences Manager must be assigned the Preferences Manager role.
A Global Administrator can assign this role via:
Management Portal → Task 1 → Manage Users → Roles
Students Must Have an Email Address
Preferences Manager requires every user to have a unique email address, as this is used as the username when signing in to timetabling.education.
This supports modern security standards, including:
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Passkeys
- Modern identity management systems
Schools should ensure that all students participating in the subject selection process, including new enrolments, have either a school-issued or personal email address recorded before access details are distributed.
Improve Email Deliverability
If emails are being sent using Timetabling Solutions' email service, we recommend that students and parents/caregivers add noreply@timetabling.com.au as a trusted contact or safe sender to help ensure emails are received.
Alternatively, ask your IT department to configure your school's SMTP server in the Management Portal. This allows emails to be sent directly from your school's email system, improving email deliverability and brand recognition.
