New Home Screen Layout

The Home Screen of the Administration Console has been improved to both make it more useful and easier to use.

A new section has been added which lists recommendations that Timetabling Solutions think may improve your experience with our software.

We have removed some old and superfluous tiles for navigating to parts of the system which already have a button in the settings or an app tile in the apps menu.

We have added two new tiles which will give you statistics on logins to your school in Timetabling Solutions. The Home Screen will show the results of these logins and the browser which was used however more detail can be linked to by clicking View Now on the tiles.

We have added a direct link to our online booking system for training so it’s easy to find the training you want and organise it quickly.

We have added a new listing of all the applications available from Timetabling Solutions and your schools current licencing status along with a way to request a trial or purchase a licence if you’re interested in one of them.

Introduction of User Roles

Based on feedback from the user community we have revamped the way that user rights are managed in the system to try to simplify it.

We have done this by tying access to applications and permissions to the data they may need together into User Roles, now rather than having to assign a user access to the Daily Organiser application as well as giving them permissions to the Daily Organiser data you can now just assign them to the Daily Organiser role. Behind the scenes the system will determine what a Daily Organiser user needs access to and grant it.

You can manage a single users’ roles by going to the [1] Manage Users screen, selecting them and clicking Roles, or manage all users in a role by going to the [2] User Roles screen.

Improvements to the User Menu

We have updated the User Menu to make it more useful, you can now quickly at a glance see which school you’re logged into by looking below your name.

We have also added the Permit Support Access button to the User Menu so no matter where you are in the software help is only a click away.

For users with multiple schools, we have added the ability to pin schools to the top of the list, so they are more easily located quickly.

Addition of a Control Panel

We have added a new Control Panel screen which will allow you to see all the users logged into your school as well as statistics for the last 30 days on where your users have logged in from, using which browsers, and the outcome of login attempts.

In addition to this we have included a chart that displays the cumulative count of logins per day for the last 30 days so you can see at a glance how active your school is on the system.
