Manage Users
User Account Import
Administrators now have ability to import user accounts from various sources has been added. You can now import user data from either a spreadsheet or CSV file, a desktop TDF9/TFX timetable file, a web Daily Organiser file and an Azure AD. These can all be accessed from 1. Manage Users in the Administration Console. When importing from either of these sources new user accounts created will be classified based on whether they are a Teacher or Student at the school.
Administrators can now specify an interval for password expiry which will prompt users authenticating with a username and password (not via SSO) to change their password. Administrators also have the ability to limit password reuse up to the last 5 passwords used.
OpenID Single Sign On
Administrators can now configure their school to use OpenID for SSO (Single Sign On) authentication. This version will only support Microsoft Azure AD OpenID and has an easy and automated process for establishing the connection. By clicking the Connect to Azure AD button the administrator will be prompted to log into their Azure AD account to grant the Timetable Datastore access to integrate. After establishing the connection administrators can then configure a Custom Domain for their school which when navigated to in a browser will automatically redirect users to the schools Azure AD login page rather than the standard one.
In addition if an administrator uses the new import from Azure AD they will be prompted at the end of the import if they want to enable OpenID integration, if the select Yes then they will be taken to the OpenID settings and the linking information will already be populated, there is no need to sign into the Azure AD again.
Custom Azure Storage for Archiving
In this version we introduce custom Azure Storage for archiving, using this a school administrator can configure the use of the school’s own Azure Storage account for the storage of log archives. If enabled archive files will be retained in the school’s storage account until they remove them.
 Log Archive
Log data for schools is archived after 90 days, archives are retained for a further 12 months. Prior to removal of archived log data administrators of a school will get notifications via email prompting them to download the archive prior to its removal.
 Project Folder
The project folder is a storage space in the Timetable Datastore for the school’s Timetabling Solutions data files. It allows users to upload and download Timetable, Student Options and Daily Organiser files from a familiar file and folder-based interface. It also provides the ability to import files directly as Published Timetables and Web Daily Organisers.
