OpenID Single Sign On

Administrators can now configure their school to use OpenID for SSO (Single Sign On) authentication. This version will only support Microsoft Azure AD OpenID and has an easy and automated process for establishing the connection. By clicking the Connect to Azure AD button the administrator will be prompted to log into their Azure AD account to grant the Timetable Datastore access to integrate. After establishing the connection administrators can then configure a Custom Domain for their school which when navigated to in a browser will automatically redirect users to the schools Azure AD login page rather than the standard one.

In addition if an administrator uses the new import from Azure AD they will be prompted at the end of the import if they want to enable OpenID integration, if the select Yes then they will be taken to the OpenID settings and the linking information will already be populated, there is no need to sign into the Azure AD again.

Custom Azure Storage for Archiving

In this version we introduce custom Azure Storage for archiving, using this a school administrator can configure the use of the school’s own Azure Storage account for the storage of log archives. If enabled archive files will be retained in the school’s storage account until they remove them.
